Dear SFACA Families:
Welcome May! I cannot believe that we are at the home stretch! This month will be a very busy one.
In the month of May, we remember and honor Mary as the Blessed Mother of Jesus. She is also our Mother as we remember the significant role she plays in our own personal lives. May also signifies, as Monsignor Maresca reminds us, as Mary And You! Our May Crowning will be held on Friday, May 10th at 1:45pm in Church. Our Second Graders, with their Communion attire, and the Eighth Graders, in their dress-up attire, will be hosting this wonderful celebration of Mary. Please join us to help celebrate Mother Mary.
If you are interested in the Ridgewood Banking Program, a program where students get their own “savings book”, please contact the office and the paperwork will be sent home. It is never too early to prepare and teach students of the value of saving money.
We will be holding our Annual Walk-A-Thon on May 24th. We appreciate all our sponsors in celebrating this annual Walk-A-Thon for the support of our school. Please be as generous as your means allow. We are raising money to buy new desks for grades K-3. Please pray for sunshine!
School will be closed on May 27th for Memorial Day. As you are enjoying the long weekend with family and friends, let us remember all those who have died in the service of our country. Have a wonderful break.
As we celebrate Mother’s Day this month, I would like to wish all our Moms, Grandmas, Nonnas, Aunts, and all the ones who play the awesome and important roles as a Mom in your special loved ones lives, a wonderful and happy Mother’s Day! Please enjoy the day with your loved ones and family members. It truly is a special gift as we guide and care for the special people in our lives.
A few gentle reminders:
Kindly remember that there should be NO SMOKING on school grounds. Please refrain from smoking near the school and church premises, especially near our students and families. In addition, please be mindful of double parking and blocking the yellow school busses in the front of the school. Our children’s safety is always our priority. Please remember that there should be no running or playing around the church or the steps after dismissal. Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Ms. Elizabeth Reilly, Faculty, and Staff
